Cat Scratch Fever

My cat is about as rambunctious as they come. She absolutely adores attention, and won’t stop crying out until someone scratches her behind the ears. When I bought a Siamese cat, I was fully aware that they made a lot of noise. But I was less prepared for the destructive scratching. Perhaps she meant it as some form of protest for my being away at work, but in any case the cat took to tearing apart the furniture.

I knew I would have to find some way to occupy her attention, and a cat scratching post fit the bill. Now the cat can climb and claw at her post to her heart’s content without doing expensive damage to the furniture. The incessant meowing hasn’t stopped, but I’ve learned to find that trait endearing anyway.
