Cat Trees on Display

People often ask us where they can see out cat trees in person.  Outside our home showroom in West Michigan the only place you can see them in person is at a cattery of a Preferred Breeder, which are listed on the website, or at a cat show we are participating in as a vendor.

The next show we plan to be at is the Garden State Cat Expo/Show July 18-19, 2009.  This show will be held at the Garden State Exhibit Center in Somerset, New Jersey.  Hope to see you there.

Cat Tree for your Bengal

Courtesy of Leo's Pride Cattery

Ever wonder what kind of a cat tree your Bengal would like?  The fact the Bengal requires a lot of attention and enjoys being an integral part of the family, helps in the selection of a suitable cat tree for the breed.

Because of their high energy level you need a multi level cat tree so the cat can burn off some energy running up and down the tree as opposed to trying to climb the drapes.  To tweak their curiosity it is best to have a tree you can attach toys to, or hide toys or treats in cubby holes.  Your cat will love the investigative activity required to find the treat that you occasionally hide to create a challenge.

We know Bengals want to be in the center of family activity so you should have a cat tree that fits into and complements the family area of your home.  That requires consideration of size and color.  The right choice will not only be functional, it will also look good and complement the setting you have it in.

Looking for a Great Cat Tree your cat can climb?

The Big Oak

The Big Oak

Cats have a basic instinct to seek out the highest place in their environment to rest and observe what is going on.  Being high gives them a greater sense of security and is why you often find them on top of the bookshelf or on the top curtail rod.  The best way to keep your cat off high places you don’t want them on is to provide them an alternative.  You can change your cats’ behavior by providing it with a tall cat tree and spending a minimum amount of time training your cat through rewards to climb the tree rather than the drapes.  Another advantage to the taller cat tree is the fact it will have several climbing levels and just through the action of ascending and descending your cat will get exercise that it otherwise wouldn’t.

Cat Tree – Popular Purple Passion

Purple Passion

Purple Passion

The Purple Passion cat tree is the ideal sized piece of cat furniture for most smaller rooms and is a good piece for an apartment and condo.  This cat tree is only 2 feet 8 inches tall.  The way the leaves are attached to the trunk its easy to slide the unit closer to a wall, or place in front of an outdoor window, where you cat will spend hours observing the kaleidoscope of activity on the outside.  The contoured leaves and the petal design of the flower snuggle your cat for more comfort and sense of security.  The leaves and top are cushioned and have a heat retention liner that absorbs and radiates back your cats’ body temperature so your cat has a feeling of being in the lap of luxury.

Order your Purple Passion today and it can be delivered within two weeks.

Litter Box or Kitty Kabinet Fresh Test

Traditional Style

Traditional Style

People wonder why their cats stop using the litter box and start having accidents.  The number one reason is usually associated with a  physical problem, so if your cat is beginning to miss the litter box you should visit the vet for a check up before a minor problem become something major and more expensive.  If a physical reason is ruled out as the cause, the next most popular reason for accidents is that the litter box is not clean.  You have to remember that a cats’ sense of smell is so superior to ours’ they are picking up offensive odors that can be totally obnoxious to them and we don’t even perceive the slightest smell.

Some litter box units hide the box from public view.  The Kitty Kabinet is one unit that is great for moving the unsightly litter box out of sight of the human occupants.  There is a unique flapper door that helps keep odors inside the unit.  Because of its design and the frequency of use it may require cleaning more often to make sure its acceptable to your cat.

Cats hate dirty, stinky litter boxes, and they may be driven to find other spots to relieve themselves.  So if you start finding “accidents” on the corner of the carpet, or on a bed, or in a pile of clean cloths, please consider the cleanliness of the litter box.

Cat Houses with Hiding Places

Cat Hiding Places in the trunk

Cat Hiding Places in the trunk

Cats and kittens love to curl up in tight dark places and most of our cat houses have such a place built right into the trunk.  Starting with the smaller cat tree units like the Tropical Flower or the Purple Passion, each with three holes leading to the middle of the trunk, all the way up to the Big Oak with its nine holes, your cat(s) will find the ideal spot to steal away quiet time.  A test to the quality of our product is the fact that the entire tree is covered in carpet, including the inside walls of the trunk and the top and bottom of all cubby holes in the trunk.  For the best value for your money be sure to check out our cat furniture at:

Kitty Tree

Kitty Cat TreeIt’s not realistic to think a new kitten will use and enjoy a large cat tree until it is older and has developed better coordination and size to traverse the various levels of the tree.  You need to provide something more suited to the kittens’ size that they will enjoy, develop, and learn on.  The Spider is the ideal kitty tree.  Your kitten will love to climb on it, crawl under it, and sleep in it.  Its small enough to fit anywhere and still be the focalpoint of your kittens’ activity.  Kittens love to crawl between the petals to get under the cat tree where they can discover a secret space for rest and relaxation.

This kitty tree is contructed as a single unit – there is nothing you need to put together.  The unit is reversible so its like having two kitty trees in one.  As the kitten grows and gets too big for the short side, you simply turn the kitty tree over providing a new look and additional space under the tree.  Even after your cat has matured into adulthood it will still love to come back to the Spider and enjoy the comfort of the padded bed.

If you order your kitty tree today it will ship within ten business days.
