The modular design of some cat cabinets give you the freedom to design a unit to better fit your particular needs.  All cat cabinets begin with a base unit; it is in this unit that the litter box is tucked away out of sight of friends and family.  If you have limited space the cat cabinet allows you to hide the litter box in the middle of your living area in a piece of fine furniture that can match your decor.

Optional units can add to the functionality of the cat furniture by providing additional storage space for things like scoops, bags, treats and litter.  Another consideration for adding optional units is that it raises the height of the furniture, and if you were to put a cat bed on the very top you can create a highly favored spot for your cat to rest, sleep or just observe his or her environment.
