The Perfect “Starter” Cat Bed

Got a new kitten in your life?

Button Cat Bed

Button Cat Bed

The Button Cat Bed is the perfect starter cat tree for a kitten.  The cat bed is 17 inches in diameter and 5 inches deep.  The center of the bed is padded and contains a heat retention liner that absorbs the heat from the sun, or your cats’ body heat, and radiates it back to added comfort.  The unit is only 10.5 inches tall and stands on six petals.  This affords a 3.5 inch clearance under the cat bed that your kitten will love to explore and play in.

This cat bed is reversible, and by turning it over you provide a ‘flower’ top that also has a padded center – it’s like getting two cat beds for the price of one.

This cat bed is also the ideal size for a mature cat that may have trouble climbing and jumping due to health reasons.  You can provide your “best friend” with all the features and benefits of a much more expensive cat tree.

Cat Tree – Save 10%

Little Oak Cat Tree

Little Oak Cat Tree

For the rest of the month of March, when you order a Little Oak cat tree via our website you will save 10% of the retail price.

The Little Oak stands five feet tall, it has a total of seven leaves and nine holes.   You have the option of leaving one of the leaves off so that the cat tree can fit closer to a wall or tighter into a corner.  Another popular option that many people order is the Eagles Nest to replace the flat top.  The Eagles Nest is more of a cat bed on top of the tree and it has a sculptured supporting rim all around to give your cat a feeling of added security.

The way the leaves are positioned on the trunk they give your cat five levels to climb.  Your cat will not be able to resist going up and down the tree, and a secondary benefit is that it will get a little exercise.  You too will be entertained when you spend some quality time playing with your cat getting it to chase a toy up, down and through the tree.

Don’t forget – there is a limited time you can save money on this beautiful and functional piece of cat furniture.  Order today!

Colorful Cat Tree

Purple Passion

Purple Passion

Have you been looking for a new cat tree?  Would you like something large enough for one to three cats; yet short enough to place in front of an outdoor window to be used as a cat perch to help keep those cats entertained?

Our Purple Passion cat tree is just the ‘ticket’.  It’s sized right, and its very colorful. This popular cat tree stands 32 inches tall, and its 40 inches from leaf tip to leaf tip.  The top of each leaf and the center of the flower top are padded with a heat retention liner to absorb your cats’ body heat and radiate it back for added comfort.  The three holes in the trunk lead to the “inter sanctum” where the official cat business of the day takes place.

Those Incredible Whiskers

Whiskers at work - sensing the environment

Whiskers working to sense the environment

A cats’ whiskers serve as delicate sense organs of touch.  The whiskers are constantly moving back and forth detecting subtle changes in air movement, vibration or temperature change.

Most people think “whiskers” are only the long hair found around the cats’ muzzle.  Actually, whiskers are found in many places on the cats’ body.

Interestingly, even during sleep, twitching whiskers are an indication that your cat has entered into the deepest kind of sleep, which is often accompanied by rapid eye movement – and probably dreams.

If you want to learn more about these incredible sense organs and how your cat uses them to detect prey and keep out of harms way, then read the article in the Great Lakes Cat Furniture February newsletter.

Great Cat Tree for Your Kitten

The Spider is a unique piece of cat furniture that is small enough to fit anywhere and still be the focalpoint of your cat’s activity.  The unit is reversible, and regardless if you have the short or tall side down, the center area is padded and lined with a thermal absorbing layer that retains and radiates back your cats’ body heat for added comfort.

Cats love to crawl between the petals to get under the flower where they can discover a secret space to rest and relax, or to spend quality time planning their next great adventure.  The petals that surround the flower provide back support when your cat is laying in the flower enhancing its feeling of security.

This cat tree is also good for mature cats who may not like to climb and jump as they did when they were younger.  The short profile allows them to easily climb into the flower bed and enough all the features of a much larger cat tree.

The Right Cat Tree for the Ocicat

The right cat tree for the Ocicat is going to be one that is tall, has several climbing levels, and provides cubbyholes and pass-throughs.

An "Energy Burner"

An "Energy Burner"

Ocicats are very energetic and curious.  They love to jump and climb, and interact with people.  They are also very intelligent and have been known to open doors or cage latches, as well as respond to many verbal commands like fetch, sit, and lie down.

To keep your cat happy you need to direct the “cat-energy” by providing a means for releasing that energy in a manner you approve of.  One way of doing this is to provide a virtual cat playground in the form of a good cat tree.

Check out the article that was featured in our newsletter that specifically addresses what you should look for in a good cat tree for your Ocicat.

Quality Cat Furniture – Over 30 Models!

Kitten Cat Bed

Kitten Cat Bed

All our cat furniture is hand made in the U.S. of only the finest quality materials.  The smallest kitty trees are only about a foot off the floor, but they do provide crawl space underneath that kittens love to play in.  Our medium sized cat trees are three to five feet tall.  All have padded beds that are lined with a heat retention layer that absorbs and radiates back the heat from the sun, or from your cats’ body – thus increasing the comfort level.  These are a very good height to place in front of an outside window to use as a cat window perch.   The tall cat towers are as tall as seven feet.  Our cat towers feature multiple levels for fun and exercise, and all except the Jack-N-Beanstalk have cubbyholes and pass throughs to tweak your cats’ curiosity.  The “Jack” is a very unique cat tree in that it’s based on the children’s story where the beanstalk grows into the “cloud” – it provides great fun for your

Be sure to visit our website and register for the monthly newsletter.  Two important things regarding the newsletter: 1) We publish our show schedule – that is where we plan to be exhibiting our cat tree product.  If you order a tree for delivery at a cat show you save all the shipping expense.  And 2) You are on our distribution list and will get notified every time a cat tree model goes on sale.  It’s worth the couple minutes it will take you to register.

Kitty Log Cat Tree

What’s short but long, round with a hole in it, and tons of fun?

Kitty Log Cat Tree

Answer: The Kitty Log Cat Tree

We have prototyped this new piece of cat furniture we call the “Kitty Log” at various cat shows the past couple months.  It has proven to be a very popular piece of cat furniture by the fact we have sold every piece we made available.

We are going to produce this piece in three lengths and the price is expected to range from $130 to $160.  It will come already assembled so no one has to put it together, and it will be ready for your cats to play on just as soon as you take it out of the box.

We still have some logistics to work out but should have this cat tree available on the website by the end of March.
